The School Psychologists work to provide an inclusive, supportive environment where all students can flourish. Our specialised team works to meet the individual needs of every student.
Our team works closely with the Early Years and Primary teachers to help students to achieve their academic goals. This may entail support in the classroom, or outside of it, working on more specific academic objectives. Therefore, we continually monitor every student’s academic and social progress, together with their class teachers, to ensure that they are receiving the correct support.
Families are always kept informed about the support that their children are receiving. Regular meetings are arranged, to talk about the specific targets for each student, the support they are receiving, and their current progress. If a student needs additional support, outside of that provided by the school for special educational needs, families are informed about the number and type of additional lessons they will require.
We may also request that families get a diagnosis from an external expert, or after-school support lessons for academic, social or behavioural reasons.
As well as offering this assistance, the Department carries out diagnostic tasks and offers educational advice as part of our Family School, whose main aim is to encourage good educational practices.

Speech Therapy
Our students have the option to receive support from professionals with any difficulties with speech, voice or language, both in Spanish and English, without having to leave the premises during the day.
They can request an appointment for an assessment and diagnosis of issues such as stuttering, dyslalia, pronunciation problems or dysphonia, among others.
The speech therapist will use some of the following techniques:
✦ The Doman early stimulation method
✦ Orofacial and myofunctional therapy
✦ Postural and vocal relaxation
✦ Prevention of dysphonia and voice re-education
Clinical Psychologists
Following a diagnosis or work with our school psychologists, the specialists Iván Navarro and Cecilia Fuentes are available to offer the option of working on specific areas through social interventions. The great advantage is that sessions take place within the school context itself and this allows pupils' everyday environment to facilitate their progress and make it more natural and effective.
Occupational Therapists
This service, available in both English and Spanish and offered by Ciro Pannicke and Lorena Ferrer, focuses on providing support to children who require it in the areas of attention, concentration, impulse control, fine and gross motor skills, and emotional resilience, to help them unlock their full potential and strengthen their development.
