Private school clinic

Health and Wellbeing

Our clinic is open daily to attend to our students and staff, and to ensure their continued health and wellbeing.

School Clinic

We offer First Aid to anyone who should require it during the school day, providing the appropriate medical treatment that has been authorised by students’ families. We are a cardio-protective school, which means that we have semi-automatic defibrillators and staff are trained to be able to use them in an emergency.

Additionally, the clinic regularly carries out Health Campaigns and gives both practical and theoretical talks for students on First Aid.

Constant monitoring

The school maintains its own programme to monitor all pupil allergies, intolerances and medical conditions. This programme is fully integrated into our educational centre, providing safety and peace of mind for everyone. The dining room, teaching staff, co-curricular activities, playgrounds, bus routes, and school trips—all have access to their pupils' medical information, which is kept up to date and managed by the school nurse. We also have our own system to record all student visits to the school clinic, alongside all diagnostic, treatment, and progress information, as well as contact details for families or legal guardians.

Clinic Caxton College Valencia

Qualified Professionals

The clinic is led by our school nurse, María Benedí, who graduated in Nursing from the Catholic University of Valencia and is a former student of Caxton College. Her experience in this field is based on previous positions of responsibility, above all in the Intensive Care Unit of the IVO and in the Maternity and Pediatrics Area of the 9 de Octubre Hospital in Valencia. She has completed a Master’s Degree in School Nursing, in order to specialise in health problems in school age children, as well as in promotion and prevention in children’s health.

In addition, Dr Mascarós, who specialises in family medicine, is available in the clinic once a week to attend to any medical issues that students may be experiencing.

Health Campaigns

Annual flu and Covid vaccination campaigns are carried out for staff and students on the school premises due to the school's status as a registered Health and Vaccination Centre. Additionally, we sponsor two blood donation campaigns each year, and all staff and students who require monthly allergy vaccinations receive them in the school clinic.
