A Healthy Lifestyle
We strive to provide a safe, welcoming and positive atmosphere
We offer a creative curriculum so that students are not only prepared for their future education but also grow and develop as curious individuals, eager to learn throughout their lives and maintain healthy living habits. We therefore provide them with an inspiring school life, excellent social relationships and a wide range of opportunities and experiences to enrich them both socially and culturally.
Healthy Atmosphere
We promote the benefits of sport and physical exercise
Our aim is for our pupils to see sports as an essential element for developing social values, both individually and as part of a team. We do this through physical education lessons taught by specialist teachers, as well as through co-curricular activities.
Onsite kitchens
The school has two kitchens: an industrial style kitchen, where we prepare the standard menu, and a smaller, fully equipped kitchen for preparing special menus for pupils with allergies or food intolerances.
All menus served to our pupils and staff in our dining rooms are prepared in our onsite kitchens.
All menus are reviewed and approved by the school doctor and the head of the Dining Room and Kitchen who also supervises the entire process, from purchasing onwards, to ensure that all meals served are well-balanced and healthy, as well as to the pupils’ liking.
Waste reduction
A designated group of pupils is responsible for composting the waste generated during the preparation of fruits and vegetables in the Kitchen.
Reward system
The dining room monitors hand out stickers with drawings of “super vegetables" to raise awareness about the importance of healthy eating.
Supervision
We ensure that each pupil eats properly and we make a note of any anomalies to be able to inform families and look for solutions.
Special diets
Our specialised staff plan, prepare and oversee special diets for those pupils with allergies, medical or religious restrictions.
Medical Care
The school has an onsite clinic, staffed by a school nurse and assistant, where all pupil and staff medical needs are seen to. Throughout the school day, first aid is provided in case of an accident, as well as any medical attention required in case of illness. Necessary treatment is provided in accordance with authorisation by families.
We are a cardioprotective school
Semi-automatic defibrillators are available and we provide training for staff to be able to use them in an emergency.
We facilitate medical consultations
Once per week, a specialist in family medicine comes to the clinic and is available for consultations by students and staff.
We are committed to student health
We supervise special diets, keep a register of all allergies and administer any required medicines for our students.
Comfortable Environment
Our facilities are designed to make our pupils feel comfortable and safe, as well as to encourage the magic of learning.

Emotional Education
One of our main goals is for all pupils to be happy at school, so we strive to create an atmosphere in which they can reach their full potential. Likewise, we encourage them to participate in all the activities that school life offers to help develop a sense of educational community.
PSHE -Personal, Social, Health & Economics
This programme helps pupils to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to become successful in life. Additionally, it helps them become active, confident, healthy, independent, responsible and well-informed citizens.
SEAL (Social and Emotional Aspects for Learning)
We have developed this programme that is linked to our six core values. Pupils learn to respect each other, handle conflicts, be resilient, and understand that making mistakes is all part and parcel of learning. The programme also helps children to increase their self-esteem, which has a positive impact on their learning and in their daily lives.
Building Our Community
Families are at the heart of our education system. We love to see and connect with our families at the various events that we organise throughout the school year.
We organise events such as Activity Afternoons, and also invite our families to participate in charitable or cultural experiences at our charity markets, art exhibitions and book fairs, so they can share the messages that the school conveys to their children. The same applies to Co-Curricular Activity Open Doors events, where parents can observe firsthand how their children develop skills to be able to encourage them at home. We also organise a 'Family Coffee' event, where parents can have a casual chat with a member of our Board of Directors. Another initiative that brings our families closer to school is Teacher Appreciation Day. In short, our doors are always open to our families.
Our school is home to more than forty-five nationalities and classroom integration works seamlessly thanks to educational initiatives that foster a cohesive educational community.
Our One School, One Community ethos aims to ensure that newly arrived students and families quickly feel like part of the Caxton community. Additionally, from an early age students work on projects in class that highlight cultural diversity in all its forms and emphasise values such as respect and empathy.
Assemblies & Houses
Year Group Assemblies
These are held weekly and activities include singing, story-telling, work on the current core value and SEAL topic and awarding of Star of the Week certificates.
SEAL Assemblies
Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning
Held in the theatre, pupils have the chance to take a closer look at a specific core value and SEAL topic. A thought-provoking story or video is often the starting point and encourages pupils to think and reflect on their behaviour and the consequences of their actions.
House Assemblies
These assemblies are for all pupils in Years 3 to 6. Points are totalled and the winning House for the month is announced. A year group or department leads the assembly along with the teacher responsible for the House System in Primary.
End of Term Assemblies
These take place at the end of each term to celebrate achievement and effort with three children per class awarded with a special certificate. We are lucky to enjoy the participation of the Primary Choir who perform during the assembly.
Safe School Transport
We offer a school transport service for all of our students with more than 20 routes covering the main residential areas of Valencia and Castellón.
Our Uniform, Our Identity
Our dress code and uniform aim to create equality among pupils while helping them feel and identify as part of a community. For the convenience of our families, all items are available for purchase from the school shop.
