Once Again, We Have Been Great Together

We're delighted to share with you an original poem composed for our educational community by the poet and author Paul Cookson. We were very pleased for him to visit school again this year as part of our annual Literacy Campaign and perform for children in Years 1 to 7. They thoroughly enjoyed his spectacle after reading his books at school and we know that they will be inspired by him in their future literary pursuits. We're honoured that he was moved to dedicate these verses to us!

Once again
We have been great together
Old friends, old poems
New friends, new poems
New children, new laughter

Together
We have laughed and shared
Celebrated words and poetry
You, in your second language
Me, in my first
And we have made it work

Always in joy
Always joyful
I still love the magic of your theatre
and the excitement we create

It is not just me
It is not just you
